The characters will all arrive in the heart of the House of Earth! It'll be very quick. No fancy lights or portals; one second they're chatting with their friend and the next they're suddenly standing in the middle of House of Earth, etc.
After the first batch of apps have been accepted, an OOC post and a log will go up for players/characters to plot, mingle and figure out what's going on. There will be a thread in that log where characters will be able to get a bit more information. The goal is to then have those characters be able to share (or withhold if they desire) the information learned there with characters who come with the next batch of applications.
There will be other similar posts, too, so the responsibility doesn't fall so heavily on the characters' shoulders.
